Saturday, September 24th

As a nonprofit that wants to help kids live healthier lives, the Säjai Foundation is “walking the walk” on September 24 at North Mississippi Regional Park in Minneapolis. Rather than a straightforward 5K, the Foundation’s Amazing Walk is for people of all ages, abilities, and interest levels, and takes a page from TV’s The Amazing Race. Along the 5K course, participants have the option to try at a variety of additional activities, some challenging, some goofy, all fun.

Monday, September 12 through Monday, October 17 - Music Fun Mondays

Sandy Fitzgerald from the STMA Early Childhood music program will provide musical activities such as songs, musical circle dances, and small percussion instruments, and introduce children to rhythmic patterns. Parents must remain with their child. The attendance limit is 15 and preregistration is required. This one fills up quickly, so please register for each Monday your child will attend. Please call if you need to cancel as there will be a wait list.

The Säjai Foundation is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to working with local communities to educate children about how to live a healthier life by encouraging them to get outdoors, to get active and to make smart nutrition decisions. Join the Säjai Foundation on Sat., Sept. 24 from 9-11 a.m. at North Mississippi Regional Park for a 5K like no other. Bring the kids, bring your friends, and bring a sense of adventure to try the sometimes challenging, sometimes goofy, but always fun activities you’ll find spread out across the 5K walk.

Fortune Cookie Day!

There is no better way to remind the ones you love how special they are then in a fortune cookie!   This recipe is quick, easy, inexpensive and delicious!  Just the way we like it!
  • Ingredients
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup white sugar


Mix the egg white and vanilla until foamy but not stiff.   Then sift the flour, salt, and sugar and blend into the egg white mixture. The batter will be just a little ...
